Job Description
Position Title: Production Worker - 2nd Shift
Wage: $19.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 4:00pm - 12:30am
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in the aerospace industry? We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our customer in Elk Grove Village, IL. As a Production Associate, you will play a vital role in the final stages of the production process, ensuring that aerospace parts are properly prepared for transfer and shipment to customers. Production Worker Responsibilities:
- Abide by material handling guidelines and best practices while unpacking and transferring parts
- Perform visual inspection of parts upon receipt and prior to transfer
- Remove liquid maskant and/or tape used to mask off areas of critical aerospace parts
- Identify and perform any necessary touch up based on work instructions and job folder
- Utilize proper tools and application/removal methods
- Maintain clean and safe work area, utilizing 5s and Lean principles
Requirements for Production Worker:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English; Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Good computer skills; understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- In-depth understanding of masking techniques, materials, tools and application methods
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- A detail-oriented, organized self-starting individual with excellent communication skills
