The Manufacturing Process Technician, with supervision and guidance, will be responsible for hands-on execution of routine operation and maintenance of CPC production equipment and oversees the daily operation of an assigned area of the production process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs, and replacements.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise with production machinery and determine resolution including basic repair.
  • Coordinate on-going maintenance to production equipment, per equipment manufacturer's procedures and instructions ensuring equipment is operational.
  • Responsible for ordering tools and managing production tool cabinets.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineer, CI Specialist, and Industrial Engineer to write and/or update Work Instructions and Standard Work.
  • Perform time studies for processes with high deviations from stated standards.
  • Initiate ECR for run rate, BOM, drawing or routing changes.
  • Assist with training production employees on machine operation procedures and safety protocols.
  • Work with Production Supervisor and Manufacturing Training Specialist to determine operator training needs.
  • Evaluate Non-conformance root-cause, work with quality teams to investigate & disposition and recommend preventive actions.
  • Performs visual verification and testing of product according to provided instructions.
  • Occasionally assist with PQ and/or NPI builds.
  • Support installation of new machine and programs on the production floor.
  • Support continuous process improvement activities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing process technician experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and process knowledge
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Creo, Oracle, SharePoint.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with external and internal personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using written work instructions, specifications, and assembly prints.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift to thirty-five (35) pounds and transport material, product, or tooling around the assembly area.
  • Ability to rotate between all assigned assembly duties.
  • The ability to set up and operate machines in assembly per instructions.
  • Must maintain acceptable attendance, assembly rates, and working relationships.
  • Additional requirements for cleanroom personnel:
    • Ability to work in a controlled environment attire including:
      • Mask
      • Hood & facial hair cover
      • Gloves
      • Coat
      • Shoe Covers
    • Able to work with clean room cleaning solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of assembly operations, manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to use computer software to design tools, adjust blueprints and record data about production levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately train assembly of parts using written work instructions, specifications, and assembly prints.
  • High comfort level with appropriate Oracle reports and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
