Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Infrastructure SME to provide technical support and guidance for the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB). This is a full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities
    Work in a Tier-3 Cisco network support environment (designing, documenting, and supporting the LAN/WAN networks, supporting firewalls, and supporting enterprise wireless solutions).
  • Perform hands-on implementation of Cisco firewalls (FPR 4112, FMC, ASA 5555) and related hardware and software.
  • Perform hands-on implementation of network infrastructure including: core switches (Cisco Nexus 7k), edge switches (Catalyst 9300-U/UXM, 3850, 3650), routers (ASR 1006, ASR 1001, 8300), bandwidth management appliances, and related hardware and software.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot the routing protocols, including but not limited to, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), etc.
  • Design and perform hands-on implementation of a secured enterprise wireless systems with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) including WLC 5520/9800 and security standards including Extensible Authentication Protocol - Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS)/Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP).
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Express Routes connections to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Qualifications

10 years experience in network engineering with Cisco solutions. Associate's degree in a related field desired. Must be CCNP or CCIE certified. Extensive experience providing tier 3 support in a Cisco environment. Experience designing, documenting, and supporting the LAN/WAN networks, supporting firewalls, and supporting enterprise wireless solutions. Experience with Cisco firewalls (FPR 4112, FMC, ASA 5555); core switches (Cisco Nexus 7k); edge switches (Catalyst 9300-U/UXM, 3850, 3650); routers (ASR 1006, ASR 1001, 8300); bandwidth management appliances; and related hardware and software. Knowledge of routing protocols. Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) including WLC 5520/9800 and security standards including Extensible Authentication Protocol - Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS)/Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP). Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) including TACACS, RADIUS, RULES, Policy Sets, Posture, Authentication/Authorization for Wired/Wireless networks. Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Solarwinds and Cisco DNA center. Experience with Cisco VoIP infrastructure, operations and IVR technologies. Experience with Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS) and Public IP infrastructure. Experience with Windows Server Operating System including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Must be a US citizen.
