As a Laboratory Technician, you will report directly to the Manager of Engineering and Laboratory Services of Research and Development - North America. As a member of the Research and Development North America team, you will use your unique skill set to accelerate the growth of SCHOTT - with a particular focus on the United States and the North American region. You will work across SCHOTT Business Units and Corporate Functions to identify, investigate, develop, test, and scale high-impact new products.

Glass Melting - Perform laboratory-scale glass melting experiments, including all relevant batching, melting, pouring, and forming operations.

Glass Processing - Generate measurement samples and prototype samples from glass castings using cutting, grinding, polishing, core drilling and other fabrication methods.

New Product Development - think big and inspire those around you to connect the dots differently, unleashing new possibilities to develop the materials, technologies, and products of the future.

• Degree (e.g., AS or BS) in a scientific or engineering discipline
• 0-3 years related experience in a laboratory environment
