What You Will Do:

Manages the warehouse operations to ensure that materials, supplies and equipment are available to production in a timely manner.

  • Communicates with other departments, staff, and customers to ensure that the goals of the warehouse, the organization, and our customers are aligned.
  • Oversees stock control and order processing, keeping computer systems up to date; plans future capacity requirements based on business needs and strategy.
  • Reviews reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to understand trends and change processes to offset negative trends; meets quality, delivery, productivity, and budget objectives and targets.
  • Ensures that the facility and employees comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and rules; manages the security of the work environment.
  • Manages the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment in the facility.
  • Prepares and manages annual operating plan.
  • Drives and contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
  • Coaches and mentors one or two levels of direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Approves time and attendance for employees in assigned areas.
  • Recognizes individual and departmental contributions to results.
  • Recommends and initiates disciplinary actions as required.
  • Implements good housekeeping initiatives, such as 5S, and maintains clean and organized work areas throughout the facility.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and influence at the leadership level.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four year college or university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. Certified Supply Chain Professional or similar certification.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

Physical Demands

  • Must stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hour work days / 5-6 days a week) while wearing steel toed shoes/boots on concrete floors.
  • Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination for repetitive motion. Must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that range from very small to large objects. Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination is needed.
  • Must frequently walk, push, and pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist or crawl.
  • Must be able to easily and regularly lift and/or move, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • The job is performed under some temperature variations and some hazardous conditions. The employee occasionally works near machinery fluids and material wastes.
  • The working environment is clearly marked for hazards and safety/emergency facilities are noted.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
  • Employees often come into contact with dust, dirt, grease, and paint on metal surfaces.
