Overview

The Director of Global Control Tower Services is accountable for the global development of customer implementation and operational solution design programs. This role will be responsible for providing oversight of the Global support for the various verticals, Tech, Industrial, Automotive & Retail from an operational perspective. The role will also develop the proper document repository for all global and regional for the Control Towers, Work Instructions. Supporting the Global & Regional standardization of all supporting functions and processes. The Director of Global Control Tower Services will support Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, CHB, Contract Logistics etc. In addition, this role will be an advisor to all country and regional profit and loss owners.

Responsibilities
    Oversee all global operational processes and governance controls for the 4 verticals by; collecting and analyzing of customer feedback to guide business, developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts, and analyzing and assessing problems within the regions' processes, using data from internal and external sources
  1. Design, develop and deliver transactional level reporting for Regional & Global vertical customers operating within the Global Control Towers
  2. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) & service level agreements (SLAs) to support Regional & Global Control Tower Operations
  3. Develop and steward continuous improvement methodologies in key areas of service and growth for the country and regional owners.
  4. Exhibits excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both externally and internally.
  5. Provide operational guidance to country P&L (profit & loss) owners with respect to job costing related activities.
  6. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, or any related field Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in Transportation & Logistics Required
  • 5+ years experience in supply chain technology field Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Good interpersonal and collaborating skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal controls
  • Power BI
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Experience managing a data governance budget.
  • MS Office Suite of products.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a high volume environment
  • Advanced Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • A proven record of successful cross-functional teamwork
  • Background in project management, implementation, and change management.
  • Ability to work in both a team and self-managed environment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skill
  • MS business suite/TMS/AS 400
  • Knowledge of international air, ocean, and customs brokerage processes
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong business acumen.
  • Cargowise TMS experience, strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication, business development and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of professional services companies and business models.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with internal teammates in various roles and levels across the organization and enforce compliance requirements.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work within a virtual team across multiple time zones and global geographies.
  • Formal quality experience required (ISO 9001, Lean, and/or Six Sigma)
  • Balance between Global and Domestic regulatory and compliance needs.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office software.
