The Opportunity:

GIPHY is seeking a Senior Client Lead to build and maintain relationships with potential clients and bring them on board for paid GIPHY campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience selling and managing branded/custom content campaigns in the digital space. GIPHY creates and distributes conversational branded content for some of the biggest brands in the world.

This is an opportunity to be one of the first members of GIPHY's Ads team and an exciting new part of Shutterstock.

The Day to Day:

• Help GIPHY build a fast-growing advertising business by identifying market opportunities, sales positioning, ad products, use of resources, and strategic planning.

• Act as the CEO of your book of business, taking full ownership of strategic prioritizations and collaborating with teams in the Ads department to build long-term partnerships with brands and exceed revenue goals.

• Build a foundation for revenue to grow above and beyond individual campaign renewals and sustained growth.

• Effectively manage a sales pipeline, report on roadblocks and opportunities, and provide accurate forecasting and planning insights

• Forge long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the brand and agency level.

• Represent GIPHY Ads in panels, conferences, and other relationship-building activities.

• Act as a culture leader, contributing to a positive team culture within GIPHY.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 7-9+ years of relevant experience in digital media sales and brand partnerships for a platform or media property, with a proven track record of reaching and exceeding revenue goals.

• A well-established network within the advertising and entertainment industry. Strong Client-Direct and Agency relationships with Fortune 500 brands.

• Experience prospecting new partners, and a passion for building new partnerships and acquiring new business.

• Demonstrated negotiation skills and an ability to persuade at all levels of an agency or client.

• Exceptional communication, strategy, and presentation skills.

• Experience and excitement about building at the early stages of a business is a plus.

• Experience in Sales Management is a plus.

• A passion for internet culture, social platforms, short-form content, and powering expression around the world.

The OTE range for this position is below:

* $225,000-$280,000 per year in Illinois

Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
