Cloud RAN Solutions Integration Manager
Location - Plano, TX

About this opportunity

As Solutions Integration Manager of Cloud Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions in Market Area North America, you will be responsible for one of the most exciting parts of Ericsson business solution (Cloud RAN) in one of the leading market areas globally. You will be part of network solutions team, handling a Cloud RAN portfolio in leading market area in Ericsson delivering ground-breaking solutions to internal and external customers. As the technical lead, you will enable team to succeed in delivering high quality product and architectural solutions across the Cloud RAN portfolio towards internal and external customers.

What you will do

  • Create Cloud RAN System Architecture and Solutions Design, HLD (High level design) and LLD (low level Design Documents, use cases, call flows, and logic scripts). CI/CD knowledge is a plus.
  • Assist with detailed Statements of Work (SOW's), Methods of Procedures (MOP's), TOL, test plan, project plans and schedules of activities.
  • Lead the sales cycle technically to understand size and scope and customer requirements for complex solutions implementation of Cloud RAN including capacity analysis, database sizing requirements, special feature implementation, automation, AI/ML, etc.
  • Perform installation, testing (including automated testing), and integration of Cloud RAN network nodes and playing the role for designing and integration network nodes in existing customer networks (i.e, 4G LTE/IMS, 5G, etc.).
  • Perform operational test plan, onsite/remote troubleshooting of issues reported during the solutions integration cycle.

You will bring

  • Strong hands-on Linux/Unix, Cloud Native (cn), CaaS platforms (RedHat, Wind River, VMware, etc.), and Kubernetes (K8s). Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Jenkins, and Selenium. Familiar with HP Rack-mount server, Openstack, MySQL, and DB query/scripting (pearl/python). Kubernetes certification preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience with VPN, IPSec, SNMP, NTP, TLS, IPv4, and IPv6, and Routing Protocols/technologies. Automation skills along with ansible Tower/Playbook, REST API knowledge is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of 3GPP LTE and 5G technology including RAN, product portfolio (hardware and software) as well as industry trends and initiatives.
  • CCNP or equivalent IP networking and cloud (Azure/AWS) certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and delivering network solutions on Cloud/K8s based microservices applications.
  • 10+ years of experience in telecommunication infrastructure industry, of which 3-5 years in the field of Cloud Native (Public/Private Cloud), and 5+ years in a customer facing role.
  • This is a process management role; not people management. Hands on experience required.
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • BS required, MS preferred in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and must be able to communicate work status, risks, and issues clearly and effectively.
  • Basic Cloud RAN evolution experience from sales/solutions in the industry ideally with 5G network transformation is a plus.
