The IS Associate Project Manager is responsible for co-managing or assisting in the management of projects for cross-functional delivery teams on software development to deliver impactful business outcomes. May serve as sole project manager on projects smaller in scale. The Associate Project Manager develops integrated IS project plans to establish, monitor, manage and report key milestones and deliverables. In conjunction with the product owner, coordinate feature delivery and production releases with a predisposition towards frequent delivery.

Responsibilities
    Coordinate projects for cross-functional delivery teams on software development to deliver impactful business outcomes
  • Develop integrated IS project plans to establish, monitor, manage and report key milestones and deliverables for projects smaller in scale
  • Collaborate with the Technology team to document project scope, budget, justification, and priority
  • Develop project plans, schedules, deliverables, resource assignments, and status reports
  • Provide regular status updates to project teams and sponsors, coordinate with vendors to evaluate progress, and set expectations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Identify, communicate, and seek resolution to issues and risks in a timely fashion
  • Drive improvements in technology project planning, communications, and delivery across the organization
  • Collaborate across departments, partners, and vendors to develop future technology plans and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with PMO peers on project management policies, processes, and tools

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
  • Certification required: Project Management/PMP preferred

Job-Related Experience

  • Entry level role customarily has at least education based IS experience or work environment equivalent experience
