Job Summary

The Strategy Project Manager will lead development of strategic initiatives designed to improve the efficiency, value, and overall growth ambitions for the generics business. Subsequently, organize cross-functional teams to implement and execute such initiatives, and track progress. Leads international multidisciplinary teams charged with successful completion of projects required to transform BU Pharma in alignment with business objectives. Creates integrated project plans and schedules, drives identification and mitigation of project risks, performs ongoing project monitoring and ensures adequate dissemination of information to project stakeholders. Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously. This position will interact with all levels of the organization including local & global leaders as well as senior management in the areas of finance, operations, marketing and R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Project Manager defines & builds domain specific roadmaps of common technological, organizational or capability requirements.
  • Assemble, manage and lead multidisciplinary project teams to achieve defined project objectives. Organize, schedule, and facilitate cross-functional team meetings across domestic and international sites as necessary to exchange information, identify risks, chart progress, and promote collaboration. Perform stage gate reviews as required.
  • Deliver financial analysis and decision support for strategy initiatives & business support as needed, utilizing SAP, FKGAN, TM1, SPOT, Cortellis, Newport, IMS, etc.
  • Projects to be managed could include strategy setting or execution of complex projects in the area of operations, research & development, portfolio management or digital.
  • Define the scope of work for each new project, clearly identify tasks and responsibilities for all project team members and establish target completion dates for key project milestones. Interface with department managers and senior management to facilitate allocation and prioritization of resources necessary to achieve key project milestones within established timelines.
  • Facilitate the exchange of required information and documentation and lead collaborative meetings and teleconferences between internal Fresenius Kabi personnel and FK External personnel (e.g. production site, senior management, contract resources).
  • Identify and resolve emerging risks / issues that may impact project, department or regional goals. Recognize potential threats to project success and elevate issues to department management when necessary.
  • Design and lead change management activities to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Conduct lessons learned and project close-out sessions to obtain information that can be used to improve future projects.
  • Manage project budgets and participate in quarterly forecasting and budgeting exercises.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience, preferably in management consulting or in transformation programs in a B2B industry.
  • Previous project management experience required. PMP certification preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and superior organization skills. Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in standard business applications is required, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project. Proficiency with other business applications (e.g. Sharepoint) preferred.
  • Up to 10% US and International travel is required.
