Description:

Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication tactics that strengthen the Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Dorin Forum brand and events, and marketing analyzation, coordination of marketing events, website management, social media management, and creating digital and print materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with Credit Union 1 Arena clients to assist in the marketing efforts for specific events.
  • Specific duties include: Manage, update and review all Credit Union 1 Arena & UIC Dorin Forum social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snap Chat.
  • Ensure that all information is timely and accurate.
  • Work directly with clients to coordinate social media posts announcing shows, promoting on-sale dates/times, pertinent event information, and, when allowed, event coverage of event including photographs and event recaps.
  • Maintain and update UIC Venues & Events websites on a regular basis.
  • Work with clients to identify and implement unique marketing programs to drive ticket sales.
  • Utilize social media accounts to enhance Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Dorin Forum brand awareness.
  • Work closely with Student Affairs Marketing team to coordinate system wide messaging and marketing programs.
  • Work closely with Center for Student Involvement (CSI) to assist in the marketing efforts for CSI sponsored events.
  • Provide post event marketing analysis to include copies of all posts, all news articles, all other mentions, ticket sales summary and recommendations for future events.
  • Initiate and track all UIC Forum and Credit Union 1 Arena facility use agreements.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications Required:

    1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
    2. One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.


    Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the managing an organizations social media account preferred.
