Position Overview

LaSalle Investment Management is currently seeking an applications specialist with a real estate technology background to help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of their business technology systems and processes. This position will sit between the business users and the IT service providers and play a key role in implementing and supporting leading edge technology and identifying innovative ways to further leverage their existing applications. This role requires in-depth knowledge of real estate investment performance measurement methodologies, a solid technology foundation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and working knowledge of effective project management practices.

Responsibilities
Responsible for technology projects related to and ongoing support of core applications related to the performance measurement function.
Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and gain a thorough understanding of the business goals, operations, and opportunities.
This position reports to the Head of Global Applications and will be asked to partner with the Global Head of Performance, other regional Performance specialists and key business stakeholders to deliver a globally consistent Yardi operating model to satisfy both regional and global performance measurement related requirements.
Function as a business process engineer by documenting current system processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and/or standardization.
Develop deep understanding of core business applications and identify ways to further leverage existing technologies.
Establish systems processes that support global standards as defined by governance committees and data quality controls as defined by business stakeholders.
Manage relationships with application vendors to ensure service levels are obtained and strong technology support is continually provided.
Collaborate extensively with fellow technology team members to leverage each other's domain knowledge while working together to develop global best practices across system processes/functions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the real estate industry, working knowledge of real estate accounting and performance measurement strongly preferred.
Proficient with Yardi Investment Management Suite and Investor Plus / Performance Manager.
An understanding of investment management workflow and processes.
Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
Knowledge of SQL Query development, including the ability to create SQL queries to aid in data discovery, requirements validation, report writing, and issue resolution.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn.
Strong relationship management skills, including interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated, able to set and maintain priorities while working toward operational goals.
Concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.
Understanding of and commitment to client service.
Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
