Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVES
1. Ensure the safety of patients, employees, and the project team are the top priority at all times.
2. Work as part of the Project Team, assisting with the development of scope, creating and managing the budget and schedule for healthcare related project work.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. This position requires extensive experience with the design and planning of new hospitals and health care facilities.
2. Ability to bring industry knowledge and best practices forward for client evaluation and consideration.
3. Manage the project team and client through planning, evaluation, design, construction, and closeout of complex healthcare facilities.
4. Experience working with public healthcare institutions is preferred but not required.
5. Superior communication and organization skills to work in a fast paced environment.
6. Developing project schedules and budgets based on historical and market data.
7. Proactively manage project-related issues.
8. Conduct and document project meetings with the client and project teams.
9. Create and track all project documentation.
10. Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation for all project assignments.
11. Coordinate daily construction and development activities associated with project assignments.
12. Coordinate activities between the Owner/Client, JLL, architect, general contractor, and Alliance Partners.
13. Guide the client and team through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation and signoff.
14. Provide detailed project cost reporting, scheduling, vendor coordination, etc.
15. Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
16. Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
17. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all technology as required for assigned projects.
18. Ensure accurate management of all project financial requirements.
19. Demonstrate strong ability to forecast project costs and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
20. Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meet both JLL and client needs.
21. Build and maintain rapport with client representatives and ensure that the scopes of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.
22. Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, clients and/or end users, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.
23. Prepare various RFP's needed for contractor services as well as manage the bidding and contractor selection process.
24. Act as the primary contact with the client throughout the duration of the project.
25. Facilitate initiation of all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, key stakeholders and external users to ensure responsibilities are efficiently, accurately and effectively communicated and understood by all concerned.
26. Identify, manage and mitigate areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk to both the client and JLL.
27. Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
28. Maintain a flexible schedule that allows for travel to project sites as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. This position requires you to work remotely from home in the Chicago market, with ability to work on site at client office approximately two (2) days per week in downtown Chicago.
2. Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
3. 10+ years minimum industry related experience required, preferably in a project management or architect role.
4. 5 years minimum experience in a healthcare setting is required.
5. Experience dealing with the integration of health care delivery systems, technological innovations, an increasingly complex regulatory environment, restructuring of work, and an increased focus on preventive care.
6. Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong analytical skills to advise the client and direct the project accordingly.
7. Understanding of the requirements for a business relocation as well as ability to manage a project in a facility that remains open for business throughout the project.
8. Strong knowledge of architectural, engineering, and coordination drawings and their use.
9. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, in various phases, at one time.
10. Fully competent at managing all types/sizes of projects.
11. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with physicians, executive and management and line level external and internal clients.
12. Ability to identify and manage priorities and tasks on a daily basis.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
14. Detail oriented approach to job responsibilities.
15. Ability to multi-task and work in a remote team environment.
16. Proficiency with Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Job Cost Accounting software.
17. Strong desire to work with a high performing team.
18. Flexibility with work hours to accommodate project and client needs in multiple time zones.
19. Must be available after working hours for handling urgent issues.
20. Ability to travel locally throughout Chicago.
