Job Summary:

As a Sr. Accountant, you are expected to perform corporate closing processes and tasks with a significant degree of complexity and autonomy; perform company-wide consolidation, ensure all balances are accurate, balances are properly reconciled to underlying data, and intercompany transactions appropriately eliminate in consolidations. You will performs analysis and review to understand accuracy of cash flow and consolidated results; take corrective actions with significant autonomy. You will calculate and create journal entries; enter journal entries into the general ledger accurately and timely.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with non-finance & finance personnel

  • Understanding of US GAAP

  • Knowledge of a large-scale ERP platform

  • Ability to create presentations & communications

  • Ability to execute a tactical plan

  • Ability to work with cross functional employees

  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly, while maintaining control of deliverables

  • Ability to travel occasionally (<5%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degreein Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • CPA (Licensed or Registered)

  • Public Accounting

  • SAP ECC or other large-scale ERP platform

  • Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC)

  • Understanding of SOX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform corporate closing processes and tasks with a significant degree of complexity and autonomy; perform company-wide consolidation, ensure all balances are accurate, balances are properly reconciled to underlying data, and intercompany transactions appropriately eliminate in consolidations

  • Work with multiple departments to implement close efficiencies, including reducing days to close

  • Calculate and create journal entries; enter journal entries into the general ledger accurately and timely

  • Lead bonus processes; partner with Finance and HR personnel to prepare accurate accruals andprovide key reporting and communication

  • Administer global ASC 842 Lease workflow and journal entries

  • Lead subsidiary accounting teams in transition / compliance with account reconciliation guidelines

  • Participate in the monthly trial balance review process to ensure completeness of the general ledger

  • Prepare accounts reconciliations in a timely manner; identify and build action plans for reconciling items

  • Create, maintain, and change account, profit center, cost center, and internal order in SAP

  • Prepare annual reporting packages, schedules, and supporting documentation to support the annual financial statement audit

  • Provide front-line support for general SAP related questions and testing new SAP functionality
