We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time Supplier Relations Manager in Tiffin, OH or Andersonville, TN or Earth City, MO. The primary role of the Supplier Relations Manager is to develop and implement the strategy of supplier management for a portion of Concordance's top branded suppliers and respective product portfolio. The Manager will collaborate closely with Concordance's operations and inventory management teams, marketing leadership, sales and other company functional areas in support of short term and long-term efficiency, profit, and growth objectives. The Supplier Relations Manager will be required to have strong relationships with key internal departments as well as supplier partners. It will be necessary to effectively collaborate with operations and departmental leaders in order to foster good communication and the sharing of best practices, especially as it relates to the company's largest and, potentially, most profitable suppliers.


Essential Functions:

  • Spearhead departmental process improvement and engagement with operations and internal stakeholders to optimize operational results.
  • Lead people and processes to meet departmental objectives as dictated by annual sales, profitability and operational goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to operational cost savings and process improvement within core functional areas of responsibility and occasionally other functional area.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements and other contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal departments as well as supplier partners. It will be necessary to effectively collaborate with sales and departmental leaders in order to foster good communication and the sharing of best practices.
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, develop, market and monetize supplier operational efficiency programs.
  • Leverage Supplier KPis and Scorecards to provide internal and external visibility into suppliers' operational performance.
  • Managing the relationship between supplier and internal operations to ensure the supplier is meeting Concordance's performance expectations.
  • Within their supplier and product portfolio, the Manager will be accountable for driving efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You will Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA with a concentration in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 - 7 years of experience with at least 3 years in the healthcare industry or similar vendor relations role.
  • Experience in a similar strategic sourcing, category management or channel management leadership role in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent presentation, verbal and written skills; and ability to speak in front of large groups.
  • Skills and experience associated with supply chain, project management, and strategic planning and analysis will be important for success.
  • Proven negotiating skills are essential for this position.
  • Strong leadership characteristics such as working well with others, knowledge sharing expertise with fellow peers, functioning with tact and diplomacy, and presenting an overall positive attitude.
  • Robust problem solving, analytics, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team.

  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screen.
