Are you an expert trouble shooter, and enjoy deciphering code? Your next opportunity is here! Shure Incorporated is looking for Application Software Development Engineer to join our team.

As an Application Software Development Engineer, you will assist with updating ECAD custom programs used in the development engineering software tools. You'll lead organizing the existing master list of software for prioritization as well as converting legacy programming scripts, like PERL, to modern formats, such as Python. You will also be documenting and cataloging software functionality in preparation for archival.

Responsibilities

* Design and implement front-end user interface and back-end business logic for operating system independent application software that controls and manages ECAD tools.
* Optimize software catalog.
* Convert legacy code from (Perl) to Python format.
* Assist in documenting the existing code as well as the converted code for archival purposes.
* Focus on designing, creating and testing high quality code.
* Estimate, organize, and document tasks under supervision of mentors.
* Develop dashboards for reporting data in Tableau.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Possess an understanding of key software design principles such as separation of concerns, high cohesion, and low coupling to facilitate reuse and maintainability in software architectures, designs and implementations; ability to decompose large, complex software systems into manageable subsystems with clearly defined interfaces
  • Proficient in Full Stack (PERN Variant), OOP & Procedural Programming, and Window OLE.
  • Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
  • Highly organized and willing to learn end-to-end process improvement skills
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Quality consciousness.
