This position works 10 hour shifts. Start times are typically between 7:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m for on-campus responsibilities (earlier for Mobile Drive assignments). Weekend and holiday coverage is a must.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Serve as the initial in-center customer service contact for all blood/platelet donors.
  • Be responsible for computer registration of donors and resolve routine donor issues/complaints.
  • Provide extensive data entry for all products collected both in on-site and on mobile blood drives
  • Serve as Registrar for all blood donors coming in to donate blood components. Periodically attend mobile blood drives to serve as Registrar.
  • Provide support to charge nurses and staff in Donor Room with duties such as answering incoming calls, ordering, and printing blood product labels, posting deferrals and/or memos in Safetrace, and paging CS Techs when needed.
  • Have flexibility with work hours depending on collection schedules for both on-site work and mobile drives.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Two years in an office setting, preferably in a medical office or healthcare institution.
  • Two years experience in computer data entry.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
