We are expanding our HR team at Ingersoll Rand! We invite a skilled HR Coordinator to enhance our IRP/MPOB business unit at our Alsip, IL location.

Job Summary: The HR Coordinator will streamline HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee data management, training, engagement, performance, and safety, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals. We're looking for someone with unwavering integrity, a commitment to confidentiality, and a professional demeanor to serve our diverse workforce effectively.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Maintain employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring all employment-related data is kept up-to-date and confidential. Monitors statutory and contractual terms.
  • Employee/Labor Relations: Supports in providing supervisors and employees information regarding company policies and procedures. Must have good working knowledge of any union collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for location.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee the talent acquisition process and support in interviewing and candidate experience. Support onboarding activities, including coordinating new employee orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
  • Benefits & Payroll Administration: Assists employees with benefits or payroll discrepancies. Support in any off-cycle payroll processing. Help administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Performance Management: Provide support in the performance management process, in alignment with organizational goals and fostering professional growth and development.
  • Employee Offboarding/Termination: Support in transition out activities, preparing necessary documents related to termination.
  • Training and Development: Supports the organization of external and internal training. Coordinate training sessions and seminars, managing logistics such as scheduling, materials, and attendance tracking.
  • Health & Safety: Supports in periodical safety trainings.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Responsible for ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and 2+ years of experience in human resources, or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in union manufacturing environment required.
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak to technical requirements and specifications.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Self-driven, confident, and team oriented.
