Position Title: Mentor Chair (NTFT) Assistant Sponsor
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
Position Statement: The Assistant Mentor Chair assists the Mentor Chair in organizing New Teacher Orientation, assigning new teacher to teacher mentors, training mentor teachers, supervising the mentoring process through the first four years of the teachers' employment in the district, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions: * Fulfills responsibilities from above as assigned * Assists curricular instructor(s) * Works within budget limitations * Coordinates with supervisor * Supervises practice exams * Coaches students * Assists in maintaining rehearsal/performance space, lab, and/or instruments/supplies * Completes other tasks as needed
Hours Per Week: 2-3 hours per week
Building: North and West
Performance Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District evaluation procedures.
