Scope of Position

Our dynamic team is at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Analytics Intern to contribute to our mission this summer. The Analytics intern is responsible for reorganizing and streamlining our existing python code base used for analyzing operational plant data. This includes refactoring, writing test functions, and updating packages.

Responsibilities

Goals of Internship:

    Restructure and organize the code base used for analyzing operational plant solar + storage data.
  • Update the imported packages and test for compatibility.
  • Write automated test functions on GitHub to ensure that pushed changes do not break the code.

Skills to Acquire:

  • Basic understanding of solar + storage operational data analysis.
  • Finding creative ways to test functions and obtain the desired results.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and independently to solve problems.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Highly motivated, creative, self-starter, and a good team player.
  • Must possess the desire and capability to constantly learn and digest advanced concepts in engineering, programming, and mathematics.
  • Must have a strong desire for problem solving and deriving engineering solutions independently.
  • Must be able to be comfortable and successful in a fast pace, high energy environment.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science, software engineering. Master's Degree is a plus!
  • Experience and advanced working capability with Python, GitHub, software development, computer science, computer engineering.

Working Conditions:

100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers and general office equipment.
