Job Description:

Responsibilities
The Hourly Project Assistant II will work within The Office of Public Health. The incumbent will work with the Office of Public Health's Workforce Manager and Associate Program Research Specialist to support the creation of a strategy and project plan to evaluate employee retention efforts and current retention resources. The incumbent will research and provide supportive literature in organizational development and psychology in support of creating the project plan. This role will also assist the workforce and evaluation team by providing knowledge, evidence-based research and administrative support. This work supports the Public Health Infrastructure Grant's Targeted Evaluation Plan.


Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a doctoral program in organizational development, organizational psychology or human resources.


Preferred Qualifications

Student in ABD status in doctoral program. Public sector work experience or project work in the public sector. Current research interests include workforce development. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Forms, etc.).

Conditions of Employment
Grant funded, hourly position expected to last through 08/30/2024. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 10% of the time, will be required.


This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will not be available.
