Description

The Sr. Compensation Analyst reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the general direction of the System Compensation Manager, the incumbent will exercise significant discretion in interacting with all levels within the system to support the compensation strategy, pay programs and policies, as well as, serve as project leader in the delivery of compensation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Financial & Operational Performance:
    • Coordinator on annual physician compensation budget & planning process, working with Departmental and Operational helping to ensure the creation of accurate, realistic, and optimized fiscal year budgets
    • Work with NM Payroll with the interpretation of compensation plan results, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
    • Perform monthly review and analysis of operational performance relative to NM's productivity goals.
    • Liaise with NM leadership on the assessment of key compensation metrics and other ad-hoc analyses.
    • Ensure accuracy and timely dissemination of operational dashboard reports and other standard management information.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Work with Departmental and Service Line operational leadership on ad-hoc requests and analyses designed to support discussions and decisions related to individual physician compensation.
    • Coordinate with NM BI/Analytics to perform regular quality control analyses, ensuring accurate NM physician compensation calculations and other model outputs.
    • Assist in the planning, development, and maintenance of the web based compensation tool.
  • Market Reviews & Business Development:
    • Build and maintain dynamic models that will allow for analysis of market adjustment recommendations compared to relevant national benchmark, and identification of related expense impact.
    • Build robust analytical models to analyze new/potential growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business or other related field.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel.
    • High level of precision and attention to detail.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
    • 3 or more years of Compensation experience or 5+ year relevant Finance experience
  • Preferred
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Profession in Human Resources (PHR)
    • Master's Degree
