Responsibilities

Data Architect:

Peraton is seeking a qualified Data Architect who will become part of Peratons' Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. The DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton's DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.

Location: Rosslyn, VA and Beltsville, MD. Hybrid schedule/role.

Position:

As a thought leader in Data Management, you will lead effort to integrate and operationalize data, be pivotal in the development of future data models, and lead efforts in data enablement. Your day-to-day will vary, some days you'll advise engineers on the development of infrastructure and platforms. Other days, you'll meet with Data teams to design and implement data management best practices.

You should have experience in defining enterprise data strategy in one or more of the following areas such as: cloud data migration, data management, data governance, data supply chain, data security, data archival, data quality, master data management and/or data architecture.

This leadership role requires individual initiative, strong communication skills, and an ability to provide independent guidance

What you'll do:

    Direct the collection, storage, and management of vast cybersecurity datasets, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align data initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Establish and oversee data governance policies related to cybersecurity analytics.
  • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies and techniques that enhance DoS's data management capabilities.
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for the cyber data management domain, aligning with broader cybersecurity and organizational goals.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 14 years' of relevant experience.
  • Experience in defining enterprise data strategy.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess one of the following certifications, OR be able to obtain before start date: CASP+CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC, or SCYBER.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance to start, and ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
