Position Summary:

The Director, Business Partner Relations is responsible for the assessment, enhancement, and execution of all strategies related to BBU's Independent Business Partner (IBP) network. The Director, Business Partner Relations will be a subject matter expert in IBP contractual agreements and guide BBU (Bimbo Bakeries USA) through the execution of current and development of future IBP Distribution Agreements. The Director will serve and lead cross functional teams as it relates to BBU overall route health, market saturation and expansion.

The Director, Business Partner relations will lead a high-performance team that partners with cross functional teams to execute and put in place related tools and resources to enable the sales organization to build capabilities to drive growth through our IBP network.This will include, but not be limited to, defining best practices, standardizing national processes, and coordinating project scope and scheduling.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Partner Relations team in developing, planning, and implementing procedures to promote and enhance communication between IBP and the Sales function.
  • Develop strategies to recruit, incent, & retain IBP's.
  • Coordinate the work of support functions (example DE, IBP Finance, Real Estate) to support the transformational work optimizing route structure.
  • Lead Business Partner Relations team in development and execution of optimal route structure design enabling growth, market expansion, increased saturation, and improved route health.
  • Provide reporting & analytics related to BP Relations goals & objectives.
  • Serve as legal liaison in execution and development of current and future IBP Distribution Agreements.
  • Work with the legal team to manage IBP contract disputes, breaches in contract and overall business relations to mitigate risk to the organization by providing guidance.
  • Coach and mentor Field Sales team as it relates to IBP communication and contract obligations.
  • Partner with Distribution Engineering team on optimal route structure design.
  • Ensure team compliance with all BBU safety programs promoted by the company.
  • Support Field Sales team as it relates to IBP round tables.
  • Review and provide counsel to Field Sales team on strategies relating to margin enhancement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education and Work History:
Bachelor's degree in business management or related field. Required. Master's degree preferred.

Ideal candidate will possess:
  • 10+ years of sales management experience with a strong operational acumen; demonstrated facilitation, presentation, and interpretive/interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years DSD experience a plus.
  • Proficient in DocuSign, MS Office, and Windows applications.
  • Proficient in BBU systems such as BUSS, MicroStrategy and Margin Miner is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Independent Business Partner distribution agreements.
  • Excellent presentation, interpretive, interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic and process driven mindset.
  • High level of analytical, verbal, written and PC skills.
  • Availability to travel 50%+
