Job Description

The WMS Senior Operations Analyst is primarily responsible for championing and overseeing successful change, process and project management in all aspects of Wealth Management Services' major initiatives. This position will define and perform analysis, programming, planning, implementation, documented justification, preparation and submission of all project proposals for WMS. The senior analyst is a subject matter expert on process improvement methodologies, system functionality and integration with considerable focus on controlling the significant financial risk associated with operational business strategies while maintaining the highest level of quality in service standards.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will analyze operational data, collaborate with Wealth Management to optimize business processes for risk mitigation and service level objectives, lead change management, and coordinate with various departments and vendors for effective integration.
  • You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational needs of Wealth Management and Operations & Technology, maintain necessary technical skills, and suggest enhancements for systems and reports to improve automation.
  • You will provide project methodology, oversee progress, report status to senior management and stakeholders, and ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects using sound business and technical judgment.
  • You will engage in vendor and industry groups, represent and seek solutions for Wealth Management and Operations & Technology divisions, and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science and 8-10 years of directly related systems administration and workflow operations experience in a high volume operations environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Certifications: Lean Six Sigma or project/change management.

  • Extensive functional knowledge of financial systems and operational processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of project/change management methodologies such as ADKAR, PMI, Prince 2.
  • Extensive knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of requirement gathering, analysis and deployment management.
  • Advanced PC skills including spreadsheets, VBA, SQL Database and report writer applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of trust accounting, investment performance reporting systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management.
  • Excellent organizational skills including written and oral communication.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels and with internal and external partners.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport/persuades others and gains understanding.
  • Understanding of complex application data flows across multiple highly integrated applications.
  • Understanding of Quality/Testing Methodologies.
