Job Summary

Join Fresenius Kabi as a Senior Manager, National Accounts.

The Senior Manager, National Accounts is responsible for managing med-level customers for Fresenius Kabi USA to include Group Purchasing Organizations "GPOs" (Acute, Home Care, Oncology, Retail, Alternate Site), distributors (oncology, compounders, retail, and specialty pharmacy), key strategic accounts and select IDNs. Serves as the primary point of coordination for managing the entire customer relationship with the US Region's most important health systems (IDNs), strategic accounts, GPO's, and distributors in order to achieve strategic business goals and objectives.

This is an internal and external facing executive role that interacts and influences Customers and Fresenius Kabi Sales, Contract Marketing, Marketing, Customer Service and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for National Account representation to assigned national/corporate account customers in US, including assigned GPO, home healthcare groups, retail and specialty groups, managed care organizations, physician groups and distributors.
  • Acts as the key communication link between customers and all departments of Fresenius Kabi.
  • Responsible for developing strategy within assigned accounts. Leads coordination and execution of the strategy for Fresenius Kabi.
  • Accountable for constructing and executing strategic account business plans to drive sales growth, and for tracking progress against key metrics as defined by leadership.
  • Responsible for influencing and cultivating relationships with key customers and industry opinion leaders to create impactful partnerships that drive value and solutions for the organization.
  • Requires professional presence and credibility. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Motivates and persuades others through a matrix organization.
  • Effectively negotiates customer contracts, priorities, and timelines.
  • Actively engages in industry associations and meetings to acquire knowledge and identify relevant business opportunities.
  • Utilizes data, critical thinking, analytics, and business acumen to advance business development.
  • Participates in any, and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required (Masters or advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years related work experience, 3-5+ years in Corporate Accounts, healthcare industry related experience.
  • A thorough understanding of contracting and purchasing practices in the following healthcare areas: acute site, alternate site, pharmacy, materials management, wholesaler, and distributor.
  • Ability to communicate and form strong relationships throughout FK and customer organizations.
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate large contracts, drive sales growth and deliver results at the GPO level.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently (Air/Auto). Requires a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external business contacts with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Exercise sound business judgement, confidentiality, and discretion in business relationships.
