Job Description

Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking a Key Account Manager to develop and nurture business opportunities with high value and/or strategic account customers to maximize Methode revenue and profitability, with significant focus on growth of product sales. You will also continually pursue ways to establish and protect Methode's reputation and customer relationship.

This position is a west coast-based role with the ideal candidate residing in the Pacific Northwest with proximity to Seattle and Portland.

Our team of knowledgeable sales, design engineers, and operations personnel across the globe offer expert advice and develop innovative and highly integrated solutions tailored to address our customers' challenges and meet your objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build strong customer relationships to ensure Methode is the preferred supplier for programs and projects

  • Strategically grow account revenue through growing new accounts and expansion in existing, assigned accounts

  • Lead quote process and any technical changes, including kick-off, development, and customer presentation

  • Support customer systems, service quotes and pricing by coordinating with internal Methode expertise, developing productivity proposals as needed, and communicating the technical proposals.

  • Drive incremental margin improvement within existing business to goals set by business each year

  • Develop relationships across various disciplines within key account organization, through proactive support and problem resolution, onsite visits, and consistent communication

  • Communicate and present to all levels of internal stakeholders and leadership on metrics, progress, issues, and planning

  • Manage awarded business to ensure tracking and updating of customer data including forecasting and pricing through internal business management system, and support account receivables invoicing and P.O. adjustments

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Business required

  • Eight years of relevant business experience

  • Fully developed account management, program management and sales skills

  • Requires strong negotiation and persuasion skills

  • Ability to effectively present and communicate information to diverse groups and at levels of organization internally and externally

  • Must have expert skills in PowerPoint and excel

  • Up to 50% travel

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
