Summary: Develops, manages, and serves customers, markets, and sales channels by identifying opportunities and projects that offer value proposition in assigned Central U.S. region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct all tactical sales efforts to ensure regional sales and profit goals are attained.
  • Manage rep organization, distributors, and resellers under consideration of the pricing of multilevel sales models.
  • Plan and forecast sales to penetrate the market for Wangen hygienic twin screw pumps, spare parts, and accessories.
  • Direct all strategic goal setting and planning for assigned territory through development of multi-year forecast.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, sales contracts, identify new customers, penetrate key account and alliance customers, research customer needs, and develop value proposition for application of products and services.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations.
  • Review and submit orders and allocate commission properly.
  • Provide customer technical support and product knowledge.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Prepare and review sales engineering reports to set clear action plans for account penetration, job closure and mitigation plans as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and attendance of national and international trade shows as necessary.

  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • BachelorsDegree in an Engineering Discipline preferred and minimum of 5 years related outside sales experience, or equivalent work experience (10-15 years) in a technical sales role.
  • Industrial and rotating equipment pump experience, preferably in the food and dairy industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and make self-directed decisions, multi-task, and function effectively under frequent deadlines.
  • Ability to lead and counsel external sales representatives.
  • Ability to work through problems from both a technical and theoretical prospective.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
